On the hill where a peaceful time flows

Just 10 minutes by bus from Kamakura Station on the JR Yokosuka Line, get off at the Sensuibashi bus stop, and you will find Jomyoji 5-chome spreading out beyond the Namekawa River.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the center of the city, a peaceful time flows in the rich natural surroundings.

The hilltop across the bridge over the Namegawa River is a residential area that cannot be passed through.

The top of the hill is a 3-minute walk from the bus stop.

The yard is sunny and a good size.

The view from here is magnificent and idyllic.

A place to get your mind in order.

As you walk up the brightly lit entranceway, surrounded by glass panels around the door, you are welcomed by beautifully shining solid wooden flooring.

The 6-tatami mat Japanese-style room by the entrance is as cozy as a ryokan (Japanese inn), and when you sit down here, you feel as if you are at peace.

I can feel my mind quickly becoming more composed.

It is a very pleasant place to stay for hours.

Going through to the back of the house is the 8-tatami living and dining room.

This is another simple space where only things that is necessary have been carefully selected.

It is the opposite of luxury, a life without being bothered by things.

A special place to relish the top floor

When you go up to the second floor, you will first see a 6-mat Western-style room facing the garden.

The curtains sway in the pleasant breeze.

The view gives you the feeling of being on the topmost floor.

The Japanese-style room is nice, but if you want to spend a relaxing time after taking a bath, this is the place to be.

The starry sky is beautiful at night, you can enjoy star-gazing on the balcony.

The last room is a 12-mat Japanese-style room, but it used to be two 6-mat rooms.

The fusuma partition was removed to make it bigger, and the room can be easily partitioned with curtains. 

The door was removed, and the furnishings were of Scandinavian style.

The addition and subtraction of Japanese and Western elements creates an exquisite modern Japanese style.
